Sinem Saniye (music like Nelly Furtado, Norah Jones, and Shakira) is an award-winning Turkish-American singer/songwriter from New York City, who's worked with Grammy-Award winning producers -who have worked with Davie Bowie, Norah Jones, No Doubt, Madonna, Louise Attaque and more- on her album "When I Don't Sleep..". Sinem began writing songs on the piano at age 5, and then on guitar at the age of 20. She won several songwriting awards, including the *Grand Prize* in the highly prestegious International John Lennon Songwriting Compeition in 2006, created by Yoko Ono, and out of nearly 20,000 other songwriters. Other awards include 2009 Indi Music TV Music Video/Artist of the Season, 2008 Song of the Year (supporter of VH-1 Save the Music) Finalist, 2008 Billboard World Song Contest Winner, 2008 Mountain Stage NewSong Contest Finalist (NorthEast region), 2008 UK Songwriting Contest Finalist. Sinem has been featured in magazines like TimeOUT NY, Global Rhythm Magazine, The Village Voice, The LosAngeles Times, and television programs across the US like Indi Music TV, Music Mix USA, Swept Away TV, The Rhythms of NY, The Directors Chair, as well as Turkish TV programs in the US like The Turkish Hour in NY, Turkish-American Hour in DC, Voice of America TV and radio, TRTs Yeni Ufuklar, and in all national Turkish newspapers and television:
